Open Rock Sessions
Join a group (maximum of 6 people) as you learn how to rock climb under the direct supervision of an Ice Factor Instructor. These sessions are for adults or children
(mixed and family groups must be run as a private session). The Open Rock Climbing Sessions are suitable for individuals or couples, for 3 or more people we would recommend Private Rock. Open Rock sessions are run primarily in the afternoon at fixed times. Call us to check availability.
Pricing is £15 per child and £20 per adult for the 1.5hr OPEN ROCK Classes
Private Rock Sessions
Just for you! Your own instructor will kit you up and focus on your needs.
During your session you will learn how to manage the ropes (belaying, knots, lowering), be coached on a variety movement skills and try a variety of climbs - slabs (easy angled), arretes (edges), chimneys and overhangs. These sessions start in our bespoke instruction facility and move onto the main climbing arena (subject to the group's abilities). These sessions have a maximum ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students.

Rock Introduction Course
Two lessons designed to take a novice with little or no climbing experience to a level where they meet the membership requirements of indoor climbing walls. These sessions are designed to allow learning in a structured and controlled environment. Why not come and take your first steps into the huge and varied world of climbing with us. This course includes your first year’s annual registration fee (£10) and one free entry to the wall. The session is normally run over two seperate days instruction.

Introduction to Indoor Leading
Two lessons designed to take those who are already indoor climbers used to using
in-situ ropes at a wall and to let them take the next step by becoming indoor lead climbers. We will cover how and when to make the clip, skills for the belayer and taking and holding a lead fall.
